- Used to determine the consistency of fresh hydraulic-cement concrete, both in the laboratory and in the field by the slump test, where Consistency is a measure of the wetness of the concrete mixture, which is commonly evaluated in terms of slump. The test gives an indication of the ease with which the concrete flows.
- The fresh concrete is compacted into a mold in the shape of a frustum of a cone. When the cone is withdrawn upwards, the distance the concrete has slumped provides a measure of the consistency of the concrete.
- Available in galvanized or stainless steel.
