Thermal Conductivity of Liquid With Data Logging Facility

Category:

The present set-up is designed to determine thermal conductivity of different liquids. It consists of a heater to heat a thin layer of liquid. A cooling plate removes heat through liquid layer, ensuring unidirectional heat flow. Temperature is measured across the liquid layer and complete assembly is properly insulated. A proper arrangement for changing the liquids is provided. The whole assembly is kept in a chamber. It has an interfacing unit designed by Engineers along with Labview software. This educational software allows/enables user to log the real time experimental data and tabulate the experimental/sample reading according to the requirement of experiment. User have a control on data logging, printing the stored data and preparing spread sheets in Excel. Flexible graph plotting facility is also available in the software.
